Who are we?
First things first, currently Repose Software is ran by me, Lesley van der Lee, with no
other employees. I founded TAYO Creative in 2019 as a freelancing business. However, my
passion soon led me to develop helpful software that helps people with their daily lives,
including tools that I could use myself. As a result, I abandoned the TAYO Creative name and
began creating self-help software with the intention of releasing it to the public.
Fast forward four years to 2023, and Repose Software is born. The goal of Repose Software
is to help individuals through powerful and intelligent software. I aim to provide everyone
with data-driven personal development tools to help them take control of life's typically
challenging aspects. In today's world it's more important than ever to prioritize physical
and mental health. I do not like the idea of profiting off of people's behavioral and
thought patterns. That's why all of our software is free to use, when used as intended, for
a single person. On top of that, all of our products are free from advertising.
The story behind the name
Let's revisit the year 2018, when the name TAYO Creative was first conceived. I was
captivated by the richness and diversity of Asian cultures, and thus drew inspiration from
the Japanese word Tayō (多様), which translates to "diverse" or "variety". This name
resonated with me, as TAYO Creative's services spanned a wide range of disciplines, from
website and graphic design to comprehensive software development.
Back to 2022, and I honed my mission to focus on developing software that empowers individuals
to lead more productive and fulfilling lives. This led to the creation of Repose Software, a
name that embodies the company's commitment to providing innovative software solutions that bring
peace of mind to its users. With Repose Software, I aim to enable people to be productive without
the added stress and worry.
Who am I?

Lesley van der Lee
Hi! I'm Lesley, founder of Repose Software. My main reason for creating Repose stems
from my own mental health journey. I figured I could make some software to make my life
easier and help myself where I am still struggling. Personally, I find building new
healthy habits very hard, among other things. That's why I created Repose's first
product, Jiko!
I personally believe in the power of technology. However, as a
programmer at heart, I also see the very pitfalls that it brings. A lot of products
nowadays are designed to keep you consuming as much of it as possible, meanwhile showing
as many advertisements as possible. It's not for no reason that so many people nowadays
are addicted to these products.
I intend for Repose Software to be different.
Use these same mechanisms and the same data not to get users addicted to the software,
but rather allow them to harness the full power of modern-day computing for personal
growth. My main personal goal is to help as many people in need as possible, and I
firmly believe ethical software is the way to go.
